Specialist Resource Provision - Birch Class
Birch Class at Studley St Mary’s C of E Junior School
Birch Class is a Specialist Resourced Provision (SRP) designed to support children with complex Communication and Interaction needs, including those on the autism spectrum, who are currently unable to access a full-time mainstream curriculum. Our mission is to nurture each child’s potential through a tailored, inclusive approach that meets their individual needs.
β¨ Our Vision
Walking alongside to live life in all its fullness. "Let us run the race that is before us, and never give up." — Hebrews 12:1
We aim to equip every child with the tools they need to thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally—within the wider school community. Through close collaboration with families, mainstream staff, and external agencies, we focus on developing self-regulation, fostering independence, and preparing children for their future lives.
π« Our Ethos
Studley St Mary’s is a fully inclusive school committed to helping all children become confident individuals who understand themselves and build positive relationships. Birch Class offers a bespoke integration pathway, supporting children to gradually transition into mainstream classrooms when appropriate. Every child’s journey is unique, and we honour that by tailoring the pace and structure of integration to their specific needs.
At the heart of Birch Class is a nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued, and secure.
